About Gary…
Gary Williams brings wisdom, insight and integrity to his role as head of Rosenfeld Kant, an innovative and future-focused accounting firm. A Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Gary is known for his exceptional tax, audit and accounting knowledge, borne of his considerable experience that spans more than three decades. Together with his business partners, Gary’s leadership has culminated in Rosenfeld Kant Chartered Accountants being named among the top 100 accounting firms in Australia.

Genuine, mutually trusting and enduring relationships with clients are underpinned by sound financial advice, that is often assimilated after consultation across a network of financial and legal experts who, like Gary are members of the prestigious international accounting organisation, Geneva Group International (GGI).

Gary’s clients are diverse. They include legal and medical professionals as well as small, medium and very large family-owned businesses turning over many millions of dollars in manufacturing, retail, infrastructure and property development.

Additionally, Gary has a niche specialisation in Australian film, television and media. His work in this field bridges his personal interests with his considerable knowledge and experience in managing the strict funding application and audit requirements unique to this industry. Gary’s long established reputation as the ‘go-to’ film audit specialist was the catalyst for establishing the Rosenfeld Kant Film Services Division. Gary and his team have overseen hundreds of film audits for film producers who value his logical and effective approach.

Gary’s clients benefit not just from continuity in their long-term relationship but from his dedication to enhancing their financial position by deftly navigating complex business matters. At the same time, Gary is sensitive to the personal and, at times, emotional needs of stakeholders, particularly in regard to matters of succession planning or the sale of family owned businesses.

Gary provides the leadership and discerning insights of a professional and hands-on business owner who really does walk the talk.

By nature, Gary is calm and easy going, describing himself as ‘relaxed and big picture’. Along with his ready smile, humility and approachable demeanour, this explains the ease with which he establishes trusting relationships across a broad client base.

For clients, Gary’s role is more than just to provide professional services. He is a valued mentor offering guidance throughout the life of their projects, fulfilling objectives and assisting them to achieve, and often surpass, their business and personal goals.

Personally…
If there was a word to describe Gary, it is ‘balanced’ but not in the two-dimensional sense where both sides must be equal. Married to Di and with three energetic sons, Gary’s balance is about apportioning time to the enjoyment of varied pursuits. These include encouraging the boys at school sport; family time at home with Ted, the family’s beloved Labrador; watching the Dragons and if time allows, international travel. Gary is a committed community member who finds personal satisfaction in lending his skills to those in need. In his younger days, he trekked Nepal and Central America and cycled around the United Kingdom.
